Famous Cyclists You've Met

Mrs LsD's mum's wedding cake was made and iced by Beryl Burton.

I suppose that'd be the same as VP bringing ye a Black Forest Gattox these days.............Just a wee mental image there to see ye through the night........... :P

Oh yeah - when I worked at Wheelbase in Cumbria I met Steve Joughin (?sp) - remember "the pocket rocket"? This was in 1995 and by then he was a rep selling cycling kit (forget which brand).

Met some of the Raleigh chaps a couple of times. My mum once saw Dave Baker's backside. Made her day if not his! If anyone is likely to meet Steve Potts anytime soon let me know please, I'm not sure the 'contact us' is working. I keep getting mail failed messages.

Also met (briefly) Ned Overend when he launched something in the LBS. A thoroughly nice guy.

I'd like to ask - how many famous people have met me?

I could tell you but you'd only think I was bragging........

Tinker was in Town for a local race.. rode for cannondale !!

met him n got him to autograph a Selle Italia Flite Tinker serie...

Nice guy.. he even remembered the seat being made during his Klein days !!

I see quite Nick Craig quite a lot ... he lives down the road from me.

My cycling claim to fame was knocking Gary Fisher into some nettles at Mountain Mayhem a few years ago.
