Well a Delta then. :D

Yes Delta wheels were white, but they were still supplied by Speedline.

Toyota was the main user of OZ wheels at the time on their rally cars.

Black can be made to look good though on some bikes.

These pic is from the Ninja thread in the Turner forum on mtbr...

I'm a fan of black components. On modern bikes it lends a clean, minimalist air.

To be honest I'm not sure what people are whinging about, as pre 1999 or so, its practically impossible to buy parts not polished, painted or anodised in all sorts of shades. Hence, unless going modern parts, theres no problem for the retro rigs.

Theres a definite upsurge in coloured parts being led by the BMX crowd, anodising of every colour on aluminium parts, coloured seats, spokes, rims, tyres, grips...Even a lot of mtb stuff is beginning to be available in your more typical ano shades of gold, red, green...So all is not lost for the hopelessly colour addicted.

Here's my modern rig, mostly black or silver, with some small highlights (some gold ano here and there).

I don't think colourful parts would do it any justice.

just had a conversation with my dad about the fact you just cant get pretty bits from obscure companies anymore like machine tech et al it aint like it used to be!
