Euro Language

Sadly Eurovisions winner, Azerbijan, former Soviet Republic and barely in Europe yet its winning song is in English as were the vast majority of the countries involved.

I think its sad that the nations of Europe are no longer proud of their own languages and culture

I agree. They should sing in their own language.
I think that's why France gave 12 points to Spain. I think the Spanish song was quite good but sadley it's also an example of how a good song may not appeal to all Europeans if there isn't a common language. I applaud the French for stubbornly sticking by their language, it's hard to believe that not so many years ago French was the world diplomatic language and the European business language.

The French actually sang in Corsican in an opera style so that no one bar any corsican opera fans present had a clue what the song was about

It was about eating birds, and one day feeling sad that there was no birdsong to remind him of his bird who had flown away, because they had eaten them all.
Eco friendly Eurovision!

My Eurovision vote will always, always go to people wearing baggy purple trousers and pointy hats.
