So... Once (few hours ago) I had a perfect Record 8speed Ergopower from 1996 with "record titanium" on the brake levers, and "carbon bb system" on the body. Then a car door came..

the most annoying thing that I've purchased the levers from ebay for 49 pounds plus postage (13 pounds) to Hungary.. so I've got them very cheapish, cause back a few months ago HUF-GBP exchange rate was much more favourable. Now it's mad..
ended up with a broken thumbie button.
Am I correct that most likely only the thumbshifter button will need replacement? ie.: EC-RE004 for the right lever. fortunately only the right lever was struck.. The mechanic in the LBS who repairs ergopowers is currently out of town, therefore, I'll be only able to consult him tomorrow. But any input-advice is appreciated until then.
