Well, all this can just be added to that "Dear Santa" thread...
Would anyone mind forwarding the link to my lovely partner? It'd be gauche to send it myself.

Och it’s all relative....I don’t drink, don’t gamble, don’t smoke, walk to work so fuel costs are minimal

I'm with you. My altar ego would love to eat chocolate, cakes, drink and laze about. But then i couldn't even joy this hobby as i want. Those cranks are well worth the sacrifice. Such items will never be cheap. Get on and fit them

Re:

The bottom bracket arrived today.... a HELLBENDER

Strange name, seemingly derived from the local salamander population, but uses technology in which the bearings are completely encased in a polymer. That has two major benefits apparently, one is that it constantly weeps lubricant so never needs servicing, and that no dirt or water can ingress. :xmas-cool:

Makes a change from the usual Chris King that I tend to fit and is a beautifully made object finished in its two-tone ano,

It's also designed to work with the cranks specifically which makes it ideal. :xmas-big-grin:

Re:

Also arrived today was the Absolute Black oval chainring!

Thought the gold would look good with the frame and it also picks out the gold on the bb too.

All that cnc milling looks pretty cool! :xmas-cool:

Re:

Turns out I don’t have the correct tool for fitting the bb...

So have had to order up a Park BBT-79, for 12 notch bb’s with a 46mm outside diameter, which should hopefully do the job! :xmas-cool:

Couldn't resist a quick dry-run to see how it looks :xmas-cool:

I know the tyres will be marmite, but for me they work well! :xmas-wink:
