I know what you mean, ebay has been going that way more and more......but you did shout a lot in your listing

i can also see how you could read it as a complete bike with the 3 listed components picked out as upgrades? i dont think its clear enough, best bet is relist it and put photos of just what you are selling, not the complete bike you pictured.....

What about a second-chance offer to the next highest bidder?

Having read your ad, I personally would think I was getting a frame + 3 items. You have it in the Listing Header and in the (admitedly large) text description, so I would think it pretty easy to realise that.
You are opening a NPB against him aren't you, and not just a mutual cancellation?

The ad isn't as clear as it could be, pictures of the whole bike are a little misleading and who knows, maybe English isn't the buyers first language, in which case you can understand the mistake.

Maybe?

My sympathies!
Though if it was me buying a Giant I probably would have checked a bit more.
I do easily see how itcould be a bit misleading, Lots of pics of built up bike, upgrades listed with price, etc. While he should have double checked/read everything I would say its a genuine mistake.
I think if the guys made a genuine mistake just go down the mutual agreement route. It seems a bit petty to force a npb dispute when he's explained and apologised.
I know, yes there are a lot of twats on ebay, but there are a lot of genuine folks as well. Maybe he's got a learning difficulty or something and your judging him harshly because of his grammer as well as pissing you about.
Besides, it a great looking frame and I would imagine it would resell again no problem.
Anyway, just playing devils advocate here. It might be better for you not to bother with the hassle, and just relist or second chance it if you were happy with that bidders price.
Its not just ebay thats full of wasters, I've had more of this sort of thing on this site lately than I have ever had on ebay.
