O.K. Let me get this straight.

If I have any old mountain bike part I want to put on the bay, regardless of make, I'm supposed to add Yeti, Fat Chance, Salsa, Ritchey, etc. to the auction title. Even if it in no way is associated with those brands?

I'm just looking for clarification here....

If you do Ebay could cancel your listing without warning. I find straight forward honest listings more attractive.

I've had a couple of listing pulled by ebay for saying "not Ringle" :? they said it was key word spamming. And yet i look everyday at the auction watch feature on this site and see almost every retro part on ebay.de listed with every possible keyword

Looks like you were reported...that's the only way Ebay pulls it. Otherwise, people get away with it.

I find it annoying...though I did use once, "as rare as ringle" for a american classic water bottle cage from the early 90s

My advice: don't do it.

another one I've seen is instead of using NOT, they use LIKE. Which sometimes is actually genuine and useful, but most of the time not.
