Easiest way to remove and replace grips

I used a screwdriver and a well known brand of water based 'personal' lubricant to remove my last pair of grips. When the water evaporates you get a sticky residue which also works for keeping the grips in place when you refit them.
Just make sure your missus doesn't find you with a tube of lube in your hand and your favourite bike in a compromising position

Hairdryer to get them off, or skewer inside grip
and pour in some washing up liquid.
Hairspray to put back on.

 ... hmm in my bike toolkit I have :
A hairdryer (missus complained when I used hers).
Hairspray
Nail varnish various colours
Nail varnish remover.
Lots of q-tips.

I could be a beautician !

Used a large kitchen knife yesterday as I was in a rush.

I bought a bike once and the previous owner had glued the grips to a carbon bar. Used a Stanley knife carefully but the bars were still knackered afterwards :(
