Are these the same forecasters that were warning us about 6 months ago of a really hot summer? Is it just me or has the ability to forecast accurately got worse the more technology they've used for predictions?

So a couple of months later and that 'early winter warning' appears to have been a big pile of nonsense as its been warmer than average. I seem to have missed the big headlines where the forecasters admitted they were wrong.

Apparently its on for jan feb now.

So I guess that may mean a 4th frosty night this autumn winter so far...

I'll claim some of the credit.

We bought some steel wheels and snow tyres for my wife's car in October. It's been unusually mild ever since.

I wonder how significant the heatwave will be when we finally put them on the car?
