Early winter weather warnings

You know what is funny?

My cousin and her hubby bought a Range Rover with the biggest lump you could get in it.

It uses so much fuel they fly up here to visit and hire a car.

However over dinner last time they were visiting we got onto the subject of fruit imports, and everyone debated the environmental damage caused by globalisation etc.

I was getting miffed when my cousin insisting she always buys in season fruit because she cannot stand the damage caused by importation.

"What is it you drive to and from work again?"

I am just waiting for one of the Far East manufacturers to come out with a 4x4 style vehicle named 'Chelsea Tractor'.

Are these the same forecasters that were warning us about 6 months ago of a really hot summer? Is it just me or has the ability to forecast accurately got worse the more technology they've used for predictions?

Her hubby is the son of a UK market gardener. Often touch on that subject, even though he is in mobile communications technology systems.

Our average dinner conversations run from the occult to drywall installation.

Perhaps we should cut down on the coke, I guess it does encourage banal conversations.

Quite. Just get the caffeine free version, and a smile, then it'll all be cream cheese.

To be fair, I don't think I have been involved in any extended conversation for a long time that did not involve the environment at some point, so many of my family and friends live and work in it.
