Early 90s Raleigh Kalahari - ideal pub/hack bike FREE!!!!!!!

Retro Guru
Found this the other day in my parents' shed. It's built from parts off about 4 different bikes I've owned over the years, and has some very retro parts on it!

The size:
19.5" c-c
21" c-t
Top tube - 23" c-c
Head tube 7.25"

The spec:
Steel frame, lugged. Missing decals.
Wolber AT18 rims on exage hubs (7spd rear). Rims are black ano and have hardly seen any use at all (braking surface looks untouched).
Exage 500LX rear mech.
Suntour front mech.
Gripshift SRT-600 shifters.
Suntour XCT crankset.
Zoom stem.
Shimano cantis.
Nearly new Maxxis Viper/Cobra skinwall tyres (steel bead) on 26x1.95.
Tranz-X barends.

My dad used this (about 10 times) for a couple of years before getting himself something new. Apparently the only problem he had in this time is the gears need constant adjustment. I think the rear mech barrel adjuster needs looking at.

It would make a great pub bike I reckon.

The price:
Freebie

The location:
The bike is in Northampton (not too far from M1 J15). I'll need it collecting unfortnately, because I just don't have the time to find suitable packaging and get it delivered.

Karma's great. I'm like the Earl (from My Name is Earl) of Retrobike, without the sketchy past and white-trash ex-wife.

Anyway, this has now been sold, well, not exactly sold, but the "free stuff" equivalent of sold... whatever that is...

Sorry bud, you were beaten to it by about 25 minutes. If it makes you feel better, I wouldn't have posted it anyway
