Re: New project, 1993 Yeti ARC - I am very very happy :)

Don't worry about the pic Tim as we all encounter these situations at some point but on the plus side it's like having a teaser shot just before the grand unveilling ..

Hell yeah! Good job Tim - very nice! Now you just need to ride it! :D

Star12

Thanks mate, just popping to the post office on it ;)
Seriously though we go away on Monday, one week in the New Forest followed by one week in the Forest of Dean. Taking the GT STS though as its better suited to the riding in the second week. The Yeti will have to wait for some late Setember autumnal riding.

1st of it looks stunning Tim and i'm really pleased for you now you have your unicorn 8) but either those photo's were taken yesterday or you've sent crappy weather up my way as it's dull and drizzly up here argh!! ..

But seriously it's really great to see this Beauty finished although i've either misunderstood or you've got a none cassette freewheel fitted
and am i jealous pah! ,,

Of course i am   " happy trails " ;) ..

Re: Dream project - 1993 Yeti ARC finished pics on page 8

Ian it's an earlier type Ringle hub with screw in freewheel. Bit of a pain as it cuts down on options but the SunRace item fitted shifts nicely and ran great when in use on my Fat Chance previously.

Afraid it is lovely and sunny in the South East right now but I believe rain is on its way :(

She is my unicorn but I love all bikes. This ones planned for an Autumn rebuild:

Okay then i didn't remember Ringle ever making a hub for a screw on freewheel so that means your on a 3x7 gearing setup and i 1st bought a 6 speed Sun Race freewheel back in the mid 80s for my old road bike i had and just found the gear changes slightly notchy until i replaced the chain  but that was my 1st multi freewheel i'd ever bought and that proved to be very smooth and faultless 8) ..

Well fingers crossed you won't get rain until late on so will get to enjoy the weather in the mean time :) ..

Yes i know you love all bikes but having your unicorn is a dream that some will never have so enjoy ;) ..

So the Maveric will see a new lease of life come the autumn then well give me the heads up when you start it Tim as i don't want to miss that mate ;) ..
