Technically these aren't period correct as this frame is a 96 rs, but id probably rather keep it naked than add the orange stickers. I like the black/orange set- my original had the purple stickers before I stripped it I think... Long time ago!

Yes now seeing those stickers which look okay i like them but not enough to want to fit any but the more i think about it the more i think just leave the stickers off and just lacquer it ..

That's what I did on the old one... I'll give it some thought and will pester my mate for a free spray in the mean time.

Apparently orange now say not to bother with a spray, just wax and wipe down regularly. Keeping it bare is also an option... the one Ill take if my mate shows me the long finger!

Well i wouldn't pester your mate all the time as he may just give you the finger but obviously give it a good think over and it maybe me but orange may of suggested a wax and wipe down because they didn't want any further pestering thinking you might want them to work on the frame ..

But wether you choose to fit decals or not i'd certainly have it lacquered just for protection ..

Ah, that's a good point that I hadn't thought of! The only reason I'm slightly holding back on lacquer is that over time (significant time) my last one developed some corrosion underneath the lacquer that meant I couldn't really get at it. Might have been a bad clear coat but it was annoying enough for me to see how it goes for a little while at least with wax and elbow grease. (well, until my man tells me he will do it or not!)

Well unfortunately you can never be sure just how well lacquer seals but their again it only takes a very a very tiny chip in the lacquer to allow the damp through to the metal so a good spray of lacquer and then a good coating of wax and then just wax and polish every 3-4 months should help keep the rust at bay ..
