Re:

Well you lucky bugger! , my wife draws a line at any bike being stored indoors and that includes hers  ..

That's sad about the mags but if they can be repaired then not so bad just a pity they can't be used atm :( ..
Any way it's still good to see the Zaskar isn't without wheels ;) and at least the spokey dokeys add a little colour although a frame saver mech hanger that's made of cheese isn't grate but replacements can be had of ebay as i got one for my 5.2 2010 Rock Rider last year for around £4 and then found another seller after i bought mine on ebay asking £12 so it's worth a good look round on ebay before you decide ..

Cheers I'll keep an eye out for a mech hanger and will have a better look at the one I have... I'm pretty sure at least one wheel can be sorted, and don't mind the idea of a miss match front and rear: it's nice having the original front on so will see how it looks if I can sort the rear.

The rear mech hanger gets put under a lot of strain in the mid to high gears so even if their is a slight fracture in it it will be hard to see it unless it's under a fair amount of pressure ...

A miss match wheel setup doesn't look to bad and yes it's just a matter of being patient and taking your time trying to sort out the rear wheel otherwise it will definitely go pear shaped ..

I'm the same, though space/cash will never allow that. Looks very likely we are on the move so I've listed both of these for sale in anticipation... will keep the pace and the maxlight (more for parts than anything else- I have a plan at work there!) and will see about more retro builds once the dust has settled!

Well sounds like you've got it all planned out nicely and even though i don't like the idea of the Pace being kept just for parts i do understand your reasoning but any way i hope all goes really well with the move as i know just how much frustration they can cause so good luck with that and i'll try to be patient in the meanwhile ;) ..

Cheers mate, and don't worry about the pace: that's going absolutely nowhere, it's the maxlight that will be switched over... and you can probably guess what the bits will go onto!

Your welcome T :) , and i'm relieved to here about the Pace phew! and yes i can quite imagine the maxlight parts looking really good fitted but can i see one more pic of the maxlight all setup please as i've got a certain project that i'm i'm not decided on what direction it's heading in and i've got a feeling a pic of the maxlight just might give me enough insight to what i'm doing ,,

Cheers Ian ;) ..

That looks pretty darn 8) to me and although nothing really stands out and grabs me inpaticular i still couldn't ignore it if i saw it in the street and even though the frame design looks unusual to the norm i reckon it's mainly down to your parts choice that it all works so well ..

Thanks for that T as i've got a few ideas floating around in my head atm but can't decide what i'm doing yet until i know what frame i'm using  ..

Cheers Ian ..
