Poo..!!

Put a couple of listings up this afternoon...Jude ( 21mths ) was running me ragged...and distracting me..

Anyhoo...i used an exsisting listing as a template....and put on 2 items at a starting price of 99p.

What I hadn't realised was I had the template set as a fixed price , not an auction.

Needless to say the 2 items sold very quick.......well they would...you don;t often get a pair of minty Crossmaxes and a Klein frame for that money.

I did of course immediately contact the buyers, ( who would hve no doubt at least suspected an error had been made )

One has already not failed to disappoint my pessimistic nature and is demanding his Ebay rights as a buyer.

Well , no matter what happens, I cannot ( and willnot ) afford to sell at 99p..

Aaaaaarrrrghhhhh...my day goes from bad to worse today..

I've had 2 sellers refuse to sell me goods for the price I bought them for..

First was a mistake, second just didn't get any other bids.

i'll double that and give you £2 for your minty crossmaxes

bloody kids ,cost you a fortune

He's just being a twunt and trying it on - the buyer will know very well it was a mistake, especially since you contacted him promptly. If he then decides to give you a negative feedback, contact Ebay themselves and they should hopefully be understanding.

I believe eBay policy allows for obvious accidental pricing such as this.

Obviously you'll get a negative, but I'd post a polite follow up explaining why you did not complete the sale. Its worth checking with eBay anyway as to what their policy is.

BTW mikee, you're out. I'm offering £3.

In fact, sod eBay we can hold the auction right here. I'll hold the hammer and charge 20% of the final sale price as a fee :)

The sellers mistake is not the buyers fault or problem..

That said, I would be doing the exact same thing as the beleaguered keitht .. yup ;)

But you can't moan at ebay for negative feedback as a result of your own silly mistake.. there's only 1 to blame, isn't there

To err is human, we all make mistakes and so the best thing you can do in the first instance (well, second actually now you've contacted the buyers) is contact ebay and explain the situation.

There is a way of reporting it, cancelling the transaction (with the buyers acceptance too  ) and having a 'paper trail' of the events, along with sending a refund.

If all this fails, you run the maximum risk of a couple of negative feedback, from these two, very understanding   buyers.

That's quite amusing!

Ebay are getting very good at removing negative feedback even in genuine cases of dodgy dealers, much to my annoyance.

If they leave negative feedback then i think they are prats to be honest.

I realise it was completely my fault. And did immediately contact the buyers..apologising for my error along with an explantaion.

The guy that bought the frame is playing hardball...trying it on is one thing..but bleating on that he is being hard done by is just wrong.

He has just sent his number so I will give him a ring..see if we can sort this like adults.

Oh well ..it will be a few negative feedbacks for my sins I expect.

Got one the other day as well...sold a highchair on Sunday..got the bad feedback on Tuesday because I hadn;t made arrangement s for her to collect....sigh!!!
