Does BBCode image resizing not work here?

I was trying to resize some photobucket images using BBCode. Tried the following:-

[img=280x200]linktophotobucketpicture[/img]

But neither work. Does BBCode image resizing not work on here?
Any ideas?

I guess not. It's at a fixed Max size and auto resizes when it reaches that. Or at least it did do last time I noticed. You get the magnifying icon in the corner.

I tend to resize with irfanview which seems pretty painless.

I use XnConvert and re-size to 25%, seems to work fine and fast too.

tried this on another forum and it worked:-

maybe its something to do with the phpBB version on here?

I mean link as normal and the forum does a resize. At that point you get the icon if its lager.

Or link to a thumbnail if needed. I know in Google+ I can just alter the size in the link itself.
