I'm trying to free up a seized rear suspension unit, does anyone know any small engineering firms that won't cost me a fortune?

I've tried soaking it in all sorts of fluids, and nothing has worked, so the next stage will be using heat to free it up.

Preferably in the Midlands area, but I can post it if need be.

have you tried using one end in a vice and something through the other mount hole to turn it?

No, but judging by the tool marks and the extended thread/knackered locking bolt, all this has been tried before. And probably years ago, judging b the rust on the slider body.

I want an engineer so I don't cause more damage, as there is no way I'll be able to get a new body made, but I could probably new new sliders made at a push.
