Decal residue

Cheers folks, have tried the hot soapy water to no avail and don't have gt85 to hand but tried some Tri-flow which didn't work either. Gonna try the eraser and then maybe try glass cleaner and the meths. Still no joy I'll get some isopropyl tomorrow and WD, don't have a Lakeland near and some things I can't wait for

if you can find yourself any kind of "orange/citrus" based cleaner, that should break down the residue.

oh, and make sure you allow it to "sit" for a while before trying to wipe it off.

I've got some left in a bottle...I'll post it to you if you are still having no luck.

Ronsonol Lighter Fluid - it has hundreds of uses, it's always worth having a tin around the workshop.

And the winner is......citrus kitchen cleaner, spray on, wrap with a rag and a very mild scouring type thing and bobs your uncle.

HB cheers for the offer 8)

You could also use citronella !!??You could also use caustic soda ...very dilute of course.. :wink:Then depending on your frame, polish it up with some Autosol?

peanut butter - works a treat!!

dont believe me?? try it

wipe some peanut butter on the frame and let it sit there. wipe it off and then use a cloth with a tiny tiny amount of washing up liquid on it and wipe it - hey presto - all gone!
