De Kerf Team ST, California, $699

Hi

While wandering around a Californian bikeshop yesterday I noticed a good looking De Kerf. I've done a bit of research and I think it's an ST (rudimentary rear suspension) fitted with a mix of XT and Deore LX. It looks quite original.

Let me know if you want any info and I'll pop along and have a chat with him or give you his details.

Cheers

Mike

Tempted....but at over half a month's pay...are DeKerf's THAT good? Would have to sell my Sunn Total.

Right, so probably worth selling what i have to put towards this then?
I don't know much about dekerf apart from being highend rigs and spent most of the afternoon at work [slow business] checking reviews on mtbr.
Meh, will see.

I'm leaving California on Saturday so if anybody is interested and wants my help let me know.

DeKerfs are considered highly desirable at least here in Vancouver where they are still made by hand. $699 US for a good condition Team ST is highway robbery....that thing cost well in excess of $2K when it came out.
The only downside with DeKerfs is that their paint jobs, although beautiful, can be a bit fragile. They use wet paint instead of powdercoating.
I would get it myself but would face the wrath of Mrs. canuckinboston for purchasing the third bike in 3 months....
