Dawes Lightning.What Year?

Hi guys just been given my first road bike...needs work but i dont know the year of it, its Dawes Lightning.

Heres a pic any ideas.

I will be restoring it and maybe modernising a little too.

id say late seventies /early eighties.

Check the alloy bits as they have dates stamped on them.

Emailed Dawes but there records only go back to 1996.

Two tone blue a light and darker blue.
