Not the cheapest groupset to get, but would looks great on a Roberts.

Like most bike builds you're best looking for a donor bike to rob bits off. Now this is where problems start as once you have found a donor machine it seems almost impossible to get rid of the bits you don't need!

Glad someone on here got it, turns out i accidently put in a bid at the asking price but we all know that would have doubled after getting a respectable paint job and new decals..... I apologised and turned away to save my pennies and my relationship.

Collected it last night. Got home late so didn’t do too much… more of an inspection to see what I need to do. Got the chainstay protector off and took back all the touch ups to bare metal and was pleasantly surprised to say everything is solid. Re tapped all the threads as all the bolts felt firm and filled the seat tube with rust remover and left to soak. Annoyingly there isnt a hole in the bottom bracket shell where the seat tube is brazed on so there’s no drainage if water gets in. Still thinking on a solution to that… other than a well greased seat post.
I’m going to leave it original paint as it’s only original once - I’ve got a blue flite and purple ano rims for it so far. Thinking the groupset might have to be exage which I have in the garage. Seems silly to buy when I have a rideable groupset already. Got some 90’s campag record hubs but no sure they are right for the build. Ideally looking for something ano like bullseye, middle burn etc
