Comments on prices should be kept to a minimum as per the rules, asking ridiculous prices for a bike is not.

The vendor would soon discover that the bike is overpriced when he does not get a sniff of interest.

If you are so overwhelmed by a ludicrously priced bike and cannot resist the urge to do so then please do so constructively and without insult.

The only Dave Lloyd Machine that would be worth this ++ is his own record breaking 1981 10 mile record machine - I'd gladly pay that to have this one below as its a real beauty 8)

Lloydy brought that to our clubroom when giving us a training talk in the winter after his record rides - it was absolutely stunning!

Teenager lmao, love it. The reason I said I did not know what it's worth is to see how many people are con artists out there. Obviously quite a few. I've actually had it priced and it's worth what I'm saying. I happen to know a fair deal regarding cycling as I've been around it most of my life, nearly 45 years tone precise. I don't take kindly to rip off merchants or people who immediately throw out insults without questions. Therefore, I will respond as I was treated when I arrived. You either deal with that or you don't.....simple! The bike is worth the price and it proves to me that the attitudes here are much the same as the majority of cyclists on the road....disgusting to say the least.

Be safe on your bikes and remember.... The Highway Code is the law. Respect it and adhere to it. :)

In that case buddy, might I suggest you advertise it on the LFGSS forum. They are much more knowledgeable on there about these high end bikes and their true values. I am sure you will get a buyer on there, in fact you may get people offering you more.

I'm sorry guys, I originally started asking questions about this bike as I was vaguely interested....I just thought it might be a top end steel (for it's day) (which it turns out not to be) and might be nice to ride for a while. I didn't get the information I asked for (quite basic sizing details) so I am out and as I was thinking I might get it for less than £300 it would be cool. I don't normally comment on any posts if I don't want to buy them but I just had to with this one. !!

This thread is going nowhere and is very unlikely to result in a sale.

To the vendor I stand by the fact that RetroBike is one of the friendliest bike forums on the net with knowledgeable people posting, you will discover this if you stay around to join in....

Your bike is worth whatever someone will pay for it. Good luck with the sale.
