Retro Newbie
Hi all,
New to retrobike as a member, just wondered if anyone could help with identifying a older Peugeot road bike, done loads of research but cant pin down the model 82-85 I think and along the top shelf somewhere,

features include stronglight "pug" branded cranks, campeg record hubs, mavic ma40 rims, spidel brake levers, 605 brakes, cinelli bars and stem, stronglight headset.sr seat post, turbo saddle.

shes a bit of a mess at the mo, but I am going to restore her to a former glory, just don't know when that glory was!!!!!
cheers phil. literally

Hi and welcome to retrobike.
If you remove a brake caliper from the frame and split the two halfs sometimes there is a date clock stamped on the rear of them, year in the middle surrounded by the month of manufacture.
Might be a later date if they have been upgraded at sometime.
Hope this helps.
Tiz a nice bike.

Nice one I'll check it, I think I've maybe sorted it, pkn/px from 83/84 due to raised head badge, crank and brake combo and few other bits, cheers and thanks for the welcome message
