"Use the f*ck*ng cycle path you brainless moron and stop holding up the traffic!"

I'm sorry but I drive hundreds of miles a day and it makes my blood boil when I come across a cycling commuter holding up a queue of traffic when there is a perfectly good cycle path a couple of feet to his left!

I don't hold with the 'safety objections' either...

Can you warn me when you come to the Chester area please, I don't want to meet you wrath on the road.

I was being 'ironic?'

Everybody has a 'rant' now and then - and my van is blue anyway...

Though the sentiment holds true...

Which flavour of 'Irony' did you intend: 'Feigned Ignorance' or 'Sarcasm'?

I trust you were being ironic as you say as you seem like a nice enough chap (being a member of a bike forum) but I don't find this attitude funny.

I encounter this type of road rage attitude often, on my bike, in my car, in other peoples cars, on foot, there are thousands of these disrespectful 'real morons' in metal boxes speeding around the country feeling they own the road and are invinscible. It is dangerous and ignorant to go out into 'Public Space' with 'get out of my way' attitudes.

Yes it is frustrating if you're in a rush I agree, but...

Do I get angry and shout words like these when that annoying old granny suddenly stops to look in a shop window when I'm walking down the high street looking at my phone? No, Why not? Because it would be rude, ignorant, dangerous, disrespectful, and ultimately my own fault for not paying attention. I don't condone it by saying, sorry officer it was her own fault she stopped suddenly and I couldn't stop in time so I converted her to strawberry Jam, It was her own fault Officer she should have been in a buggy or been 17 stone like me. But.... I'm just being Ironic here!!!!

Every debate requires an alternative point of view or it just becomes a self-indulgent, self-righteous, self-congratulatory group-hug!

It is entirely because 'there are thousands of these disrespectful 'real morons' in metal boxes speeding around the country feeling they own the road and are invinscible' that we need to take every possible self-preservational precaution available;

But it does annoy me when cyclists put themselves at extreme risk through their own bloody-minded sheer stupidity in riding through red lights in front of me, riding the wrong way down a one-way street, etc. when I could quite easily wipe one of them out, through no fault of my own, and then have to deal/live with the consequences! :x

Whether we like it or not, the car is King and everyone else is just an annoyance put there to irritate them while they go about their God-given right to clog up the roads and pollute the atmosphere with their, often, inconsequential and un-necessary journey!

Should I not drive my car on the road too?

Just trying to point out that as long as there are lorries, busses, 4x4s etc. on our roads then car drivers are at risk too. Infact modern cars are alot stronger than old ones, so the older your car the greater the risk. I guess we should all driving brand new 4x4s then???

Oh and for what its worth, I think the person in that car would have fared better had they been on a bicycle.

That was definitely a closed-casket send-off!

Do you have any reason to assume there was a fatality involved? If there was, how appropriate do you think your remark is?

Oh, I forget, your remit is to help all of us get over our fear of death.

Righto.

Definitely helping.

Car versus cyclists? Only one outcome...

Is that a real happening? It is not clear from the picture, it looks faked.

It would be an idea to provide a link and advise it may be offensive.

I certainly don't wish to see images like that on this site, or at least have some warning before I am confronted with them.

What exactly is wrong with putting into words what every person couldn't help but think upon seeing that photo?

The majority of blokes are quite happy to look at p*rn on the internet but put up a picture like that and they go all squeamish!

...and the RTA photo was an actual RTA between a road race (not in the UK) and a drunk driver that killed one and seriously injured 10 - if it makes you think then I feel vindicated in posting it.

Terminal sh*t happens to an average 3000 road users per annum in the UK - that kind of statistic just would not be acceptable in any other sphere...

If we can help prevent ourselves becoming a statistic then I happen to think we should.
