still robbing ****s though.

Oh yes

I have a couple of bits coming over from the US as I type.. not looking forward to the VAT, not that it'll be a life changing amount it's just a rip-off (esp if £8 handling is added too)

And don't forget parcelforce charge £13.50 if it's express (24 hour) and £8 if its bog standard delivery. even though of course it wont make a jot of difference once it gets here as it will sit in customs for a while. laughable

Just out of interest, where did you order them from?

It sounds like a good price :)

Although they are fantastic seals, I won't be ordering from them again;

£14.94 Fork seals
£27.01 Shipping & Handling, priority from USA

£7.82 vat
£13.50 Parcel Farce handling charge.

I've just paid the charges over the phone, the seals will be with me tomorrow.

I'm going to dispute the vat with HMRC, if only so I can vent my spleen at someone.
If I don't get any joy from them, I'll smuggle some Golden Virginia back with me when we go on holiday later this year and sell off to my workmates in an act of Karma :D

Cost me £73 to get a chris king 1 1/8"-1" devolution set.
An upper race and a crown race and a cap all for £73  :x

What seals did you get, it might be worth trying

It was 30mm seals for Z3 Bombers.
I've just spoken to the company you linked above and they have just started distributing Enduro Fork seals in the UK including those for Marzocchi forks.
They currently have no 30mm in stock, but if I ring them when mine arrive with the part number,
the lady on the phone said she they will be able to get them from the USA for me, their other Marzocchi seals retail for £23.75,
so at lease I'll save on 2 lots of taxes and 2 lots of carriage.......

or CRC who do/did stock some depending on type

I ordered some 30mm seals from CRC, unfortunately they're not the correct ones for 1998 Z3's.

I thought all 30mm seals where the same, maybe a bit of upgrading in style. Windwave still have them (distributor) and so most places still sell them at about £20 or on ebay. Prices probably gone up since I last looked though. I'm sure they where only 10 quid or so a few years back.
It's the oils and dust seal set part number 850960 ?

Can be a bugger to fit sometimes though.

Still you'll have the nice blue coloured ones.

But you've saved me money as they sell the MAG seals and was going to look at saving a few pence buying abroad, look at the 'all in cost' then nope.

P.S. I found windwave very good at checking out their old spares, they sound a very obscure part for me for my Superfly bombers 1999. Only made for them afaik.

Had a Mavic 315 headset delivered from the US today, no VAT or extra costs.

Described on the green label as 'used bike parts', value $50.

Its a lottery.

£40 odd in goods, packing and post x20% = £8 ish. There's no case to argue. The parcelforce fee is extortionate though. Next time, have them sent via USPS 1st class, which is quicker (3-4 days), cheaper (less than $10) and are sent via the post office which only charges £8 handling fee IF, and only if, duty is payable.
We've all done it.
