Coyote Ugly is road ready :)

In between the rain and tornado like wind I have now got Coyote ugly ready for duty :). Got to say I have enjoyed playing around with a bike again. Racked and ready for action.... IMO a bike isn't a bike if it doesn't have a pannier rack - unless you are racing.

Still needs a new headset, and I want to re-pack the wheel bearings. Front wheel spokes will need checking for tension again in a few miles.

Coyote Ugly was supposed to be the bike I leave outside the pub/supermarket/in the rain etc. I am now dreaming of a respray with repro graphics......that was not the plan....Grrrrrr.

Homemade headset press is made and I have an FSA Orbit in the post. Wellgo pedals have been re-packed with grease and the broken 10 tooth tension pulley has been replaced with a new 11 tooth one - all seems to be working OK.

Nothing else is being changed until I have a good few miles on it and despite disliking the look of the bar and stem they do seem to be a near perfect set up for me!

Re:

Head set installed and I am very pleased with it. I bought an Orbit mx off ebay and with the aid of a ebay voucher got it for £11 delivered :).

The homemade headset press cost £2.50 for the washers (I bought 4 but only needed 2) and everything else was scrounged.

LBS wanted £25 to fit plus cost of headset and the Orbit mx was "on sale" at just £40! I understand they need to make a profit, but not from me this time.
