copper grease inside sus forks ????

just opened my manitou 3`s and made a new steerer but found when the seller had greased them he used copper grease,is this bad??
I always thought you had to use pure lithium grease, and if bad will it be ok for one ride on sunday??

one ride mate, oneride. Chances are its killed the elastomers though. Copaslip is an assembly compound, not a lubricant. .
 
No lithium, melts the elastomers apparently

Gave my Manitou grease away, think its called M Prep though or use the Finish Line teflon grease

thats exactly what you should not grease your elastomer with. lithium is bad for your elastomers! :)

It also reacts with the coating on the bushings causing them to seize up eventually.
