$1850 for a kids bike frame!

Seems fair 'nuff to me... any custom 'regular' sized frame from a reputable framebuilder should run you that much. Now try to sqeeze everything together

Yeah, but most folks don't grow out of their bikes in 6 months.

Let me know when the "new" owner gets too big and I'll have it for my 16month old ... seriously... (but hopefully a lot cheaper)

That's a peach, and I'm sure it can be made to fit for a lot longer than six months! Unfortunately though many nine-year-olds would say 'why can't I have full suspension and disc brakes like all the bikes my friends have had from Halfords?'
