Meaning, that in you wish to get a laugh, mock, ridicule or lambast you should always do it to people who are more fortunate, more secure, more able or just plain higher up the food chain than yourself.
Clarkson, Moyles et al have all been guilty of mocking those in a worse situatiuon than themselves which is not kind or fair and 'in my day' was called bullying.
Coogan made comedy figure of Paul Calf* and Alan Partrige because we laughed AT the over blown stereotype. Unfortunately with the TG team you are being invited to laugh along WITH them, at others, which is quite different.
