Colour matching paint?

How did it go, I'm in the same boat.
I've can give them the Rgb, Hex, Hsl, Hwb, Cmyk, Ncol numbers but they seem to be too dense to make it.

that's because paint is a mix of pigments rather than colours. :( I know, weird isn't it)

I've had a scan done at a paint work place a few times for old cars with random codes that didn't exist. it's worth doing and it's dead easy.

So, take the frame and have them manhandle it with paint scanners.
I do see what you mean by pigments, and mine is red. Which might be the worst of all colours.

yer, but it isn't all that scary, it's a tiny little box of magic that sits on the paint and the imps inside figure out what pigments it can see. :)

these days there are apps you can put on your phone that will do it and possibly get you pretty close.
