My first post...........

After many years of hankering after a Clockwork Orange - I've just bought this from eBay.

Ebay item 260259985165

Its on its way to Bob Jacksons for a respray in true Clockwork colours, couple of questions -

Anyone confirm the year of the bike.
Do the forks need to be sprayed or do they need to be left black?

Thanks in advance...........

Arrrgg!

No such thing as a 'Clockwork Orange'...that's a film. The bike is an an Orange Clockwork.

Welcome to the forum.

:D

Not sure of the year but seem to remember most Oranges having matching forks.

Orange Clockwork age?

Found out the age of my P7 after phoning Orange in Halifax. It's all down to the first part of your frame number, e.g. mine is A509......... Don't know what the A stands for but could be the shift it was built on. The 5 is the year (1995) and 09 is the month(september). Hope this helps. GAZ. :D

I am assuming you are going for orange/white? I think it looks great if the forks match but if you have to have a different front fork colour- black would be my choice. Look forward to some pics when the frame is back :D

Yeah just looking forward to getting the frame back and upgrading the STX parts.

Matching bikes...................

Hi.

That looks like a 19" and my money would be on 1997.
That's the colour my Clockwork frame was when I picked her up and mine is a 97. I'm not sure, but I'd guess the forks were originally blue (or it came fitted with a sus fork).

If you're going orange-white fade I'd get the forks done to match....or get a pair of RC36s
