Right - I'm getting fed up with the current situation over this. Its been politicized to the extreme and is turning into something potentially more damaging to society than the climate change itself.
I dont like Politicians quoting scientific papers as facts and trying to end the argument there and then with these so called 'facts' - nobody can say with 100% certainty what is actually going to happen, who will be affected and when it will happen (if at all).
The climate is changing - Its always bloody changing! Civilized Man has been active on the planet approximately 1 second in the age of the planet. Are we, Mankind, so ******* arrogant that we think we can affect it in such a way?
There are so many factors involved with the earths atmosphere - radiation from the Sun, wobbles on the earths trajectory through space. Comet debris. All these external and totally uncontrollable events affect the atmospheric conditions on earth every second. Impossible to predict, we can only measure and wait.
I am more worried about the headless chicken approach from Government - I am genuinely in fear of what idiotic measures they will concoct in the name 'saving the planet' and the damage to society.
There is so much more to all this but it just makes my head spin thinking about it. Yes, there is far to much excess but there are other ways of reigning this in. Yes, we can all consume less with little effort. Thats piss easy.
What we all need to do is not let a Government that has been 'voted' in by less than 25% of the population commit society to a path that could lead to even more harm than what we are all supposed to be saving future generations from.
