Just got this frame home, very glad to see 1.95 x 26 knobbly tyres fit fine, it was advertised at first as a 700c tourer…

If anyone has any info on this model, I’d love to hear.

Paint has some, shall we say ‘patina’ but otherwise it seems sound. At some point it’ll get new paint. Also needs a new fork or at least a new steerer on the stand-in I had knocking around, not sure which direction to go there.

What is the frame number? Will nail down a year. Could be a Rough Stuff? Would work with drop bar levers, flat TT (well, not 'sloping') and lugged. Seems like there would be more than one bottle boss though? And the spec sheet says clearance for 1.5" tyres, BUT custom builder, so <shrugs>

So, seems to be custom Rough Stuff / Rough Stuff XT as it has a sloping top tube, but with more tyre clearance. Or something else.. For future reference here's a Roberts 'ATB' frames ad, courtesy of MatBH5 :

My advert / brochure is a good few years after Roly’s.
I wasn’t aware there was an early, lugged option with more trad geometry.

I always want to call this frame a HK and only because of the terminator ref, But it’s actually a Roberts XKII.
