Centrelock or 6-bolt?

Shiamano center lock rotors seem much better than sram. Adapters are trash.
if using multiples wheels 6 bolt is nice because you can buy shims to get spacing the same. I am guessing the same can be done with center lock but I have never seen them. I use 6 bolt because I have sram rotors and have spaced rotors on all bikes the same.
if you only will have one wheel set and can get a nice shimano or dt Swiss hub and use high quality shimano rotors center lock will be great.

what's the greater difference as parts wear?

mainly drop out wear which doesn't really happen on a TA but thanks to the way a QR axle is clamped can happen as there is a teeny bit of movement in the axle to dropout.

it's marginal at best.

I hate unbolting stuff with a little torx set. So CL for me.

I might have replaced all of mine with allen keys just for this reason, although the torx fitting is superior when they get seized in the hole.

Don't through axles also make it easier to align everything with rotors, because the wheel is in a fixed position with TA compared to qr?

yep.
I do fear that alignment issues couldn't be fixed though.
QR, you put the wheel on the floor, jiggle the bike then pull up the QR. then repeat till it stops honking.

Not that I'm encouraging through axles. As a matter of fact I only tolerate a hollowed axle bolted up with nuts, on a Nexus 3 speed.

Road and gravel, 142 rear 100 front seem to be 90% centrelock. I have no preference but agree that taking the torx bolts off after a couple years riding can be a pain to do, whereas centre lock is a doddle so that's definitely a plus point
