Older seat bolt size query

that does not look right to me -the bolt should go all the way in or at least that is what most of such seat binders I had used before do.

BTW is this a Wilson frame?

Sorry, I missed this post somehow. In that photo (from the original seller), the bolt is just not screwed in at all, so it did fit fine.

The frameset is from a mystery maker, here's the build thread for it. I did contact JF Wilson when I first got it, but it's not one of theirs - for one thing, the seat cluster isn't right.

My 1973 Ellis Briggs Favori has an imperial seat cluster bolt, it takes a 7/32" Allen key but I've no idea what type of thread it is.

Probably a BSW threaded bolt one would assume..
