Caught one of my white whales - NOS 1993 Manitou FS

Re:

Thanks guys :)

I like it. The wheels are different but grew on me and it's got lots of fun trick bits I probably wouldn't have used on a rider.

Gotta find a place to display it that isn't my dining room - wife is threatening to display it curbside if I don't put it elsewhere ;)

Re:

I finished this back in November in planned on doing some nice pics of it ... snow hit and I put it away.

It's back. New XTR brake pads and she's all done now! I got a nice overcast day for a photo shoot. Total bonus there ... I hear these things crack in direct sunlight!

Ya - I wouldn't ride it either.

Yeah ... I think these framesets is the official garage queen of vintage mtbs. Sometimes people get miffed when you don't ride a bike you built. No one does with one of these.

Re:

Some things have far more value in their form as an art-piece, than they do as their intended functional design ... and that bike is, a piece of art. Better stood in a corner, or hung on a wall, for all to enjoy ....

Re:

Really nice build, a nice balance of turquoise.. a shame it can't be ridden, it would be cool to pimp about on that for sure!! Also amazed at the amount of cnc work against my '94 marin frs.
