I wonder if the bike is earlier than I thought? 60's rather than the 1970's. I wonder if it was built for 27x 1 1/4 inch wheels. Were there any wheels with the bike?

Hi just had a look at the wheels that were on the bike and the wheels are for tubular tires and measure 635mm diameter and 199cm circumference of that helps..

This is my carlton pro frame in its current state,apparently was once owned by reg harris needs rechrome and new paint it has its original sloping forks ,the frame number starts with the letter f 1969/70 i think.
