I have the luxury of not needing to make a profit on my hobby and I happen to have the bits and pieces to hand to reinstate it to its original spec so why not. There's something not quite right about having those canti hangers being left redundant.

If you're swapping parts around with similar value, there's not necessarily a parts cost.

And if a bike is more original, it's much easier to be relaxed and confident about its quality and value - from a salesman's perspective.
A happy seller is more effective, that's for sure.

The irony is, is that if you fit the original cantilevers to the bike and sell it, many buyers will retrofit V brakes are they are still deemed as retro!!!

She's seen some action. Still has the original Odyssey Aerator post though

Ha ha, I didn't know about these, and it works! I think I may change it for a normal seat post though, luckily it is 27.2.
