Google up Easton, and in their website, they have a Scandium fabrication PDF file. It basically applies to all matrix composite structures including Scandium and ceramic schard(whisker) composite welding. Use the same prep techniques, and use the recommended filler rod, which is 5356 is believe. The welding is very muddy and sooty, so use the same intermittent cleaming and brushing that you would with magnesium. The post weld stress relieve is especially important for this one, otherwise it will crack just outside of the weld early on.
Does the frame have any material specs on it, like easton proprietary tube? Or DWA composites?
Have you seen a Specialized dealer for a possible warranty?
