I'm chuffing sick of the stuff, every ride lately has included at least 1 puncture and always hawthorn thorns :twisted:

I can certainly sympathise - had loads of bother with hawthorn flats earlier in the year. Have since changed tyres from Michelin Country Muds to Kooka Johnny XCs and fitted Trax self-sealing tubes and all seems well....for now!

I'm in with that vote, but there may already be one near bridleways (not sure but for some reason they don't seem to be on ours). Gets the horses too.

I had one puncture too many lately and have now gone ghetto tubeless as per this. It works a treat. Not looked back since. Cost £6 in sealant and 2 old 26" innner tubes (I did it on a 29er). Cost may rise if you have to buy 24" inner tubes for a 26er.

Nah, all part of the experience surely.. Plus it's absolutely beautiful this time of year, fantastic for wildlife, hedges, itching powder etc, etc.

i always fear the times farmers cut the hedges, all the hawthorn etc left all of the road

Not nearly as bad as the high number of punctured (once!) innertubes dumped by the side of the road. :twisted:
