Maplins was useless- no wire insulation apart from that already around a wire and the shrink wrap was way too baggy if left unshrunk. And I didn't have the heart to face the grunting troglodytes in the LBS :cry:

If someone can supply a definitive name for the stuff so I can buy off t'internet I'd be most grateful.

It's called Teflon casing at Rose bikes, £1.70 for 2 metres, don't know how much the postage is mind!!

I think when it comes with the flak jacket cables it is referred to as a cable shield. Could be wrong though.
