Having no joy at all getting orange sleeving for the bare cable runs across the frame of Wifes Voodoo. . .

Is it such a big deal to run without any?

Can you use norml outer and just string it the whole length,or if thats not an option theres always doughnuts

Could do that for the rear brake and part of the way for the gear cable (I think)..

Problem with the Voodoo frame is that there's 2 small tubes that the gear cable passes through at the seat tube and at the brake post.. has to have some sort of tube to protect the cable from friction with the frame there..

Been looking at the HUDZ do-nuts but it all comes back to sorting out where the cable passes through the frame..

Been searching for weeks for some sleeving or something in orange but the outside diameters are too big on the ones I've found and I can't get an electrical retailer to talk to me about internal diameters of equipment wire..

Take a length of Shmoo shifter cable and slit the outer with a Dremel. the wire strands that give the housing it's linear strength will part, leaving you with a pinkish coloured sleeve that will serve the function you require. Orange, well that's a stretch.

I have some gear and brake outer left over, I could just slice that off the wire spiral (which is what you are saying?)

Would it twist and cover the cable nicely/neatly?

These are the holes in the frame the gear cable needs to pass though..

It will work for that.

Use shifter outer. it's easier to cut apart than brake outer. You can cut slit it with a utility knife in a pinch. Mind your fingers.
