Love a good thread derailment! šŸ˜

@Tootyred so have you bought that part from Germany, or are you now selling your bikes and looking at buying a private helicopter instead?
Now the interesting thing is that if @Tootyred bought the helicopter, he could bring the frame into the uk without tax as you get a tax-free allowance if traveling by air🤣

But I wonder if the used helicopter market is as flat in the UK as bicycles? Might be hard to move it on.

I’ve heard it’s up and down

Wow, my want for a seatpost has morphed into purchasing a frame and now into a helicopter!

My retirement is looking increasingly exciting.

I did look at buying an vintage plane once....it was so old it had an outside loo!

I have no light to shed from a technicality POV, but I can provide some real world insight.

I have bought from Germany, Italy, France and Netherlands via this site, all since Brexit.

Max purchase was probably €90. I paid via PayPal in the agreed Euros amount. All sellers were private individuals (not businesses)

Every item always seem arrive fast with no additional fees payable.

Happy days.
A few months ago I purchased an early 90's Shimano XT groupset from Italy (eBay) which cost a fair bit but never had extra custom charges, other than the cost of shipping.
Neither did I get charged customs on a frame and forks shipped to me from Norway last year.
Great sellers by the way, great communications in English.
