Here's my 1991 Funk pro comp work in progress. I picked this one up the other night for about the price of some enchiladas and a margarita.
This pick up included the frame, headset, seatpost binder, and a partial fork of some sort. The way it goes... the last owner says he got it while in Alaska for something... rode it around... snapped the fork... found new legs for the fork... promptly snapped those off and retired the frame.
When he got it it wore a full xtr groupset and that's sort of the plan I have for it. I'm of modest means... but the plan is to scavange what early xtr bits I have, paint the frame something flashy, source either legs for the fork or a 1-1/4" steerer for a manitou I have, and then I'll see how massive of a tire I can get in this frame. We'll see how it goes eh? Photos in a bit.
