Except for they way they charge you for everything and are at least twice as expensive as anyone else

Im with talk talk.24meg or something :?,unlimited download, free calls all day, free 0870/ 0845[or whatever they are]=£28.50/month
My BT bill was only £26/month all-in..

Soon, for a less reliable service, Talk will be £24.. and they charge me for 0845

Customer service is far too inconsistent with any company to be able to compare.. my BT experience was faultless over the 4 years I was with them, Talk answer questions that I haven't asked while not answering what I did ask. Some of their departments are only contactable by phone too..
And their broadband contracts are 18months... which is nothing to do with CS but important if you aren't having a good time with them.

Yes i agree in part.
But BT is also an 18 month contract[as least the last one i had was, maybe they've changed that].
BT's line rental is about £12/month so you're saying you got your broadband[8-24meg] plus all your calls inc 0870 and 0845 numbers for £14-that total being £26

i was on BT and my bill was averaging £40,for the basic phone/broadband package
I dont phone talk talk,99% its good, but as this is my second contract with them,so that says it all for me
they also forgot to bill me for last year
I've been waiting for them to catch up and send me a big bill, but the new contract bill came in and it seems to have escaped their notice,i made the first payment without problem[before they were meant to bill me monthly but never did   ]
Not a F*****G chance of them getting it now

My memory is probably seriously flawed. . . that was my recollection of BT
The service was faultless though.. but I did leave them because of costs.. that I remember perfectly.

The Talk stuff is 100% though, been dealing with that this last week

If the connection didn't keep dropping (up to 10 times a day in the last 2 weeks) Talk would be ace.. oh.. and if, in 6months, the bill hadn't risen from £16 to £26 (give or take a few sheckles).

If you're in a cabled area, Virgin is the way to go.
Speed is solid. Faults are very very rare.

No matter which BB supplier over the copper wires of a phone line, you're still stick with the copper wires, which are pants. I'm 2.5km from the exchange and can;t get over 2meg down the copper.

My VM is running at 10mb and stays at 10mb.

the mrs want us to go back to virgin, were currently on sky but the price has doubled for he last 6 months of a 12 month contract (almost over now  )
virgin always used to cut my speeds
have had a good service with sky just cost too much!
i hate them all to be honest, their such blaggers, the customer service of either of those companies for me was appaling, too much beating around the bush
sorry im not helpful

being a bit of a geek, the only thing i will say with virgin is that they know everything you do..and i really do mean everything.

if you're happy with that, then go for it

They all know everything. They all have to know everything, it's the law, now...

RIPA.

They all know, or have the ability to know probably more than you most might think they might - if you know what I mean.
