Hi,

I've thought long and hard about selling my old girl, but she doesn't get out much and someone else should be able to enjoy the classic feel of bonty steel.

I've been doing my best to take pics during the inclement weather, hopefully they show the overall condition. The normal areas of wear that you find on a bike are there, but for a frame that is circa 93-94 she's looking very good indeed. I also have an original set of frame decals to make her look even better.

Spec:
Frame: Bontrager Race Lite Medium All the important small parts are present: anti chain suck device, brake posts, f der roller and seat clamp
Fork: Marzocchi Bomber MXComp ETA
Headset: Woodman A-Head (lovely!)
Groupset: Shimano XT737 XTR900 Front Mech, XT V-Brakes XT STI Shifters/Brake Levers (Cranks are 170mm)
BB: Shimano XT
Pedals: Shimano XT737
Wheels: Shimano XT Parallax Hubs, Front Bontrager Mustang, Rear Mavic 221 both rims have loads of life left in the sidewalls
Skewers: Salsa rasta
Tyres: Onza Porcs, hardly used
Stem: Bontrager Race
SeatPost: Titec Bontrager
Bars: Icon Riser
Grips: Klein
Saddle: Selle San Marco Integra Bontrager (great piece of kit)

I don't want to split, it has taken a long time to build to this spec and condition. However, if the demand is high I may reconsider.

£550 ono (not including postage) I'm more than happy for collection.

Thanks for looking and if you want to see more pics feel free to ask

Craig

Bonty

Hey, could be interested depending on sizing - Bonties tend to come up small.

Could you please measure c-t and tt length?

Bonty

Cheers Craig, I'm 5'10" as well, but a 15 inch seat tube feels short! Is the seat post in the pic the correct height for you?

Hi,

The pics are of the bike in the set up that I use, to be honest the stem is on the long side. My inseam is 32" if this helps. The post is close to max, a 440mm thomson would be a better option.

Thanks,

Craig

Hi Craig,
Can I register an interest in the frame & fittings (& a few other bits) if you do split it please? I flinkin' love these! 8)

Hi

Thanks for the message. A few people are keen, but I'll keep your interest in mind in case the bonty doesn't sell.

Cheers 8)

Can I just check a couple of measurements from that chart - is the tt actual or horizontal/effective? And I assume 15" is c-c, what would center-top be?

Thanks again :)

Hi,

some measurements for you:

Top tube effective c-c 56.5cm
Top tube actual c-c 54.5cm
Seat tube c-t 43.5cm
seat tube c-c 38.5cm
BB shell 29.7cm
BB axle 31.5cm

Stem 120cm 10º

Weight 11.5kg weighed using luggage scales!

I hope this helps.

Craig
