Bontrager Race Lite OR - 1996 - An immaculate frame

Same knackered wall, same but different Bonty. Ever since someone said it looks good blacked out I knew I had to try this. I’ll work a bit more black into it. I think I prefer it to the bling. 😍🖤

I think I’m done.

Rode it to the park and took some shots (immediately cleaned the tyres when I got home 😜). It is as I imagined it would be - a smooth ride.

I’ve gone back to the OEM and added some M900. I figure it’s possibly the only frame I’ve had with the original parts and fork with that adjusted brace so I’ll run with it. Other more exotic frames might get the treatment with the other bits. As nice as the fully decked out version was, I’m taken with this one too.

Last few.

The only annoying blemish on this otherwise perfect frame is the crease in the downtube decal but I can live with that. 🤨🤩

Full spec list to come but I hope my photos are clear enough to see what’s what until then.

It’s been a nice project.

In my books Yes it is.

Beautiful beautiful build.

Need to get myself a pair of those coloured jockey wheels for my XTR on my Ritchey. (Have a link by chance). Love the straddle cable holders as well. Little details like that, IMHO really finish a build.
Thank you. I’ll consider it depending on the competition. 😌

As for the pulley wheels, the gold ones came from the USA. I think the seller may have had 2 sets which I bought for the Serotta and this one. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
