Blur On The Brits

Putting the sound to one side, there was no energy from the band and Albarn's vocals were awful - too many fags and too much booze over the last 20 years.
After the way the fat lad (his name escapes me) had bigged them up through the show and said how amazing they were going to be I was more than a little underwhelmed.

There is a good reason why the latter success for blur was as recording cartoon characters

Embarrassing performance from them.

1 simple song from Adele earlier in the show, produced more talent than all of their combined efforts, and she's pretty much fresh from throat surgery (in essence) too...

bunch of bloody charlitans...

All presented by a totally unfunny wan*er!

We must be scraping the barrel for talent in this country if Coldplay can win best British band 3 times! Yawn!

Still, at least the Foo Fighters won something!!

Damon's voice was coming strong by the time they were on ITV2. Not easy to perform without your usual set up, but they put it together by the end.

Adele ushered off was predictable. She was making Corden look thin, and he knows that is all he has going for him to get the laughs.

At least this year the Brits challenged tradition. It is not all over when the fat lady sings.

Blur have always been a bit hit of miss live, especially on the up tempo stuff.

However I'm watching No Distance Left To Run on ITV4 just now. Great band with a great back catalogue of quality songs.

And Graham Coxon has done some great solo albums.

Indeed

Saw the Gorillaz performance at Glasto on the box last year and that was a pile of crap as well :D

As for Corden, well, he's about as funny as a case of the runs!

And even less endearing when you actually hear him talk off-act - as in his recent desert island discs appearance.
