I get regular spam from bingo and casino sites offering free spins and games.

Is it worth playing the free games? Whats the catch.
Ive never read any of them but guess they will require registration including card details, something id rather not provide, or else are fixed so the games do not win, that shouldnt happen since its gotta be illegal to rig the games.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Agreed in terms of slots and bingo. There is something called a wagering requirement before you can withdraw winnings... usually 30x the bonus. So if the site "gives" you a free £10 you would have to spin £300 on the slot before winnings can be withdrawn. Not impossible but unlikely. The £300 is achieved by winning enough from your free £10 initial stake by keeping winning.... A bit of fun and one might land for you... However NEVER then follow up these offers with the "deposit £10 get £50 offers. These have the same wagering requirements attached and you might as well just burn the tenner... as you will be highly unlikely to play through the WR.

A better bet is Bonus Bagging (google it)... I do (my own version of) this and it is a highly efficient form of gambling. It's dead simple, sign up with every online bookie out there and look for their free bet offers. They all do bet £10 get a free £10 bet type of an offer...

Then Bet £10 real money on say a football match. Now you need to find a betting exchange and lay the exact same bet with them. Basically, you are ensuring that regardless of the result you will be win at the bookies and lose at the betting exchange (or vice a versa). These two bets always cost 50p or so...

Then you've now got your free £10 bet that has only cost you 50p of real money. I usually bet that on something I fancy at around the 5-1 mark and if I win I get £50. if i lose it's cost me 50p. In effect you have shifted the odds from 5-1 to 100-1.

There is a way to convert your free bet to a guaranteed return (usually around £3) but I prefer the risk and find it pays better in the long run...

Realise this is a little complex but it is as close as you will get to a free lunch THM! The only rule is don't get hooked on Mug betting - which is why the Bookies offer these freeboots in the first place! :D

thanks for info. never read those mails but doesn't surprise me there are conditions to getting winnings.

no chance of me getting addicted - alcohol and gambling I can take or leave, mostly leave.... unfortunately buying unnecessary bicycles and bicycle parts and hoarding them are a different matter. .... and I'm not just saying that coz this is a bicycle themed site, I really do have too much bike stuff.... and still keep looking on ebay for more

My FIL used to use one of these sites on his old laptop.

Took me days to clean out all the crap he'd let it install.
Not all of them are legit. The Internet is a easy place to get ripped off.

Assuming the games site is in the UK jurisdiction and not in Nauru, Libya or North Korea...have fun taking them to court.

Only after spending around £1000 would you get any idea if the odds were converging with your win rate. I guess it's an interesting scientific experiment.
