Bikes and... wait for it, wait for it, Churches!

St Mary’s, Rostherne, Cheshire. The most notable thing about this one is perhaps the particularly nice church gate (or lych gate to give the proper name - ‘lych’ from the Saxon for ‘corpse’, obviously they had no time for flowery metaphors, those Saxons).

The gate is self-closing, with a weight and pulley system; the lead weight can be seen on the right here. This is to keep livestock out of the churchyard.
